That's what I told Melanie we were having, because she always calls it a chicken. The appointment went well. He has all the essential parts and everything measures exactly to my due date. There was no doubt left that he is indeed a he-we got a very clear butt/genitals shot. He weighs about 3/4 of a pound which is right in the 50th percentile. Very exciting stuff, I know. His name is Bennett, middle name unknown. Bernie and I will have to fight it out.

Ah, a boy! Congrats! Bennett is a lovely name. Did you have a hunch either way, beforehand?
YES!!!! A BOY!
I love the name! This is so exciting! Congratulations!
(I was thinking about it today and thought you had to be having a boy if I was having a girl. Yeah, there's no logic behind it, but that's what I thought!)
I hate pink, you're lucky.
And we are also fighting about the middle name. We just cannot agree on it and it's driving me nuts.
Sara-yes I did think it was a boy. But Bernie thought it was a girl, so I was glad to be right! He's the true scientist and doesn't believe much in "vibes." He says it was a lucky guess.
Kristen-I felt the same way when I found out you were having a girl...who needs logic? Is her name still Alexandria?
I was a bit relived that it was a boy just because we were having a really hard time with a girl name ( I like old people names). Bennett was really easy. It's actually after Bernie's grandpa Ben.
Yay for boy chickens! Love you!
